‘Amid Lines and Blows’ captures the instant when gesture becomes pure expression. The wrinkled golden surface of the background feels almost alive, like skin that holds memories. Upon it, vibrant red strokes spread like pulses, connecting invisible points between emotion and matter.

There is a tension between the delicacy of the purple and yellow splashes and the force with which the main lines were thrown. As if each movement had been made with urgency — and precision. A giant ‘S’ on the right echoes like an instinctive signature, while the surrounding chaos offers resistance and balance.

This work is a dance between controlled gesture and chance — a territory where art moves between impulse and intention.
